DOB 10-20-95 Rocket is one of our most prized possessions. She is all Hangin’ Tree breeding from Gary Ericsson’s foundation dogs. The Hangin’ Tree lines are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially those that descend directly from Gary’s dogs, so Rocket is a treasure. WTCH Hangin’ Tree Dude and Rocket share the same sire. Dude’s mother, Hangin’ Tree Roja, and Rocket’s mother, Babe, are sisters. So Dude and Rocket are very closely related.
Her intense and intelligent expression hints at the keenness and stock savvy that Rocket possesses. She is an excellent working dog with plenty of power and grit, gets a little rough sometimes with the sheep and goats but it is an excellent cattle dog. She hits heads and heels willingly and you don’t have to encourage her to work!! She is enthusiastic, to say the least. Rocket is primarily a fetch dog but will drive if you need her to. She just wants to work -- any way, form or fashion that you will allow her to. Rocket is also blessed with a good disposition - quiet, pleasant, obedient, very easily to live with, but with loads of personality. She's a happy, smiley "wiggle butt" and passes this on to her offspring. She is not an alpha bitch but is not submissive either, sort of "middle of the road". She travels well and is used to being inside; loves the radio, t.v., and Roger. Rocket’s pups are very lucky to have her for a mother. She is very calm and patient with them, yet protective if another dog dares come around! She is a very easy breeder and whelper - we couldn’t ask for a better brood bitch. All in all, Rocket is a very welcome addition to Pincie Creek and is one of our most valued assets.
